Kevin Max Smith (b. 8-17-67) was adopted by Max & Elaine Smith and grew up in  Grand Rapids.  Kevin is known for his part in DC Talk (I saw them @ CFest '92).  He was also a frontman for Audio Adrenaline.  Max starred as Johnny C in The Impostor & had an appearance in Dreamers Do - The Amazing Life of Walt Disney:

In 2021, Mr. Smith was on the TweetZ >> "Hello, my name is Kevin Max & I'm an #exvangelical."  He describes himself as "still a universal Christ follower... & the universe is bigger than you and me."  In one song, he states that it's "okay to be estranged from everything that you were taught ... lose the shame from all the churches' abuse."  From Kevin's he♥rt: "I've been deconstructing for decades. ... I've really gone on a journey to find out what I truly believe in by reading a lot, thinking a lot, keeping my eyes and ears open."
