Age of the Earth Poll (C-Fund)
How old is the Earth?
A) 4,000 years
B) 6,000 years
C) 8,000 years
D) 10,000 years
E) more than 10,000 years
Most surveys do not focus on the age of the earth to this detail. It is often assumed that an anti-evolution belief is linked to Young Earth Science (YES), but this is not the case. Just consider the Intelligent Design (ID) movement. William Dembski has accepted a Global Flood; however, to the best of our knowledge he has not adopted YES yet. Phillip Johnson, the father of ID, is also sympathetic to YES. ID as a movement has not rejected Old Earth Fallacies (OEF's). [1] They should read the Wikipedia page defending a young planet from history and science. Or better yet, get the book on Young Earth Science (YES):

Toledoths and Genesis
- Records begins abruptly with no heading
- Each tablet ends with a toledoth statement referring to what has been written before
- The name in the toledoth statement refers to the writer or owner of the tablet
Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.” Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.” (Gen. 22:2-5)

Do You Mind?!
Also unwarranted is the assumption that, because the mind and brain function together, they must be identical. A corollary assumption is that I am nothing but my brain. This is reductionist fallacy. Things that go together are not necessarily the same, any more than ideas expressed by these words are the same as the words themselves. Mind and brain could interact without being the same. [1]
Materialist arguments are self-defeating. “Nothing but” statements assume “more than” knowledge. How could I know I am nothing more than my brain unless I was more than it? I cannot analyze my brain in a test tube unless I am outside the test tube. [2]

The Same Sex?
Children in alternative lifestyle families often have a number of issues [2]:
Who owns the rainbow? The rainbow reminds us of the Lord’s promise that a global flood will not destroy the earth again (Gen. 9:11-17). Here is a great site with info that supports the global catastrophe of Noah’s day. Read more about rainbows here.

Good News Osmosis (What is the Gospel?)
Our book Biological Essentialism tackles Aristotle, UnDarwinism, human exceptionalism, worldview & bias, renegade scientists, Dawkins vs. Dawkins, natural kinds, gender confusion and the sanctity of human life among other topics. Have you ever been curious about the Genesis "kinds" (Gen. 1:12)? If so, please get a few copies for you and your friends! Also, your positive review on Barnes&Noble would be most appreciated.
The first 11 chapters of Genesis are true history from the Creator of the cosmos. Believe the GoodNews about Jesus today – the only route to true hope and positive change. For more about the GoodNews for now and forever click here. You should think about tomorrow and your ultimate end – it will soon be here.Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. (Jude vv. 22,23)
I highly recommend Ray Comfort's book God Has a Wonderful Plan for Your Life - The Myth of the Modern Message. We heard Ray, Kirk Cameron and Ken Ham at the same event in Fort Worth years ago. My wife and I visited a church in Bellflower (CA) that was led by an Aussie pastor who's wife was a Filipina.

The Chicago Statement, ICBI, Walter Bradley & Henry Morris (Pt. 1)
We affirm that Scripture in its entirety is inerrant, being free from all falsehood, fraud, or deceit. We deny that Biblical infallibility and inerrancy are limited to spiritual, religious, or redemptive themes, exclusive of assertions in the fields of history and science. We further deny that scientific hypotheses about earth history may properly be used to overturn the teaching of Scripture on creation and the flood.
The statement finally adopted by the council was so innocuous on the subject of origins that it would not even exclude evolution as an acceptable interpretation. That was the reason I could not sign their statement on biblical hermeneutics. [3]
Progressive creationism … has already, for well over a hundred years, served as the camel’s nose by which theistic evolution and eventually full-blown religious liberalism have come in and taken over … the reason why most laymen … reject the Bible is because they have been taught evolution and the great age of the earth, and they know that this presumed “fact of science” contradicts the Bible’s very first chapter. [4]
I am not a scientist, but I have familiarized myself with attempts to harmonize Genesis 1-3 with science, and I believe that creation by the process of evolution is a tenable Biblical position, and, as represented by BioLogos, the best Christian apologetic to defend Genesis 1-3 against its critics.
… the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God. What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God? By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar .. (Rom. 3:3,4, ESV)
